“Update: Electrify America just told me on the phone that these EV chargers will not be functional until early May 2025. So the only way to get from Colorado to Utah is through I-70. Better hope it's not snowing. I guess we'll have to rent an apartment here in Rawlins, WY because we are stranded here. Update: I called Electrify America again and the representative I spoke to said the issue is actually an upgrade that these chargers are waiting to have completed. The upgrade won't be completed until several days from now, so we are stranded here until that upgrade is complete. We might as well drive back through Wyoming, go south through Colorado, and hope that we can make it through the mountains (it's snowing right now and for the next couple days, which is why we took the route through Wyoming in the first place) without killing ourselves. 0 stars for customer service from Electrify America and 1 star for such a critical charger on I-80 to be down for such a long time. My family is currently stranded, waiting for this charging station to come back online. All chargers at this location are down and have been down for hours. There are no other charging stations accessible between Laramie and Rock Springs, WY. Most electric vehicles cannot make that distance without charging at Rawlins. I contacted Electrify America to ask if they were working to complete the issue or had a timeframe for completion. They offered no information, aside from they are now aware that there is an issue and will send someone to fix it. They didn't have a timeframe or any other information... so we are literally just sitting here stranded until the charger is fixed.” — Rachel Brower, a year ago
