What drivers have written
“I love stopping off at this Supercharger. It's 250kW, so the car charges quickly. There are also (IIRC Electrify America) non-Tesla DC fast chargers there. It's lovely to walk up to the Sundial Bridge, especially when the weather is good. It's a gorgeous glass bridge across the Sacramento River. There are trash cans, bathrooms (it's a park, they're not heated or very fancy) and a restaurant nearby, as well. The lot is pretty well-lit and well-maintained. It's a tad confusing to get back to I-5, but not terrible, and there is a grocery store and Target on the other side of I-5.” — Kevin Perry, a year ago
“Yes, this is the best supercharger along the west coast!! Once you cross the sundial glass bridge, you can take a walk in the shady trail or wade in the cool river on a hot summer day.” — H L, 2 years ago
“Unlike a review by someone else here, there are rest rooms here, you just have to leave your car to find them. It also isn’t at the back of the parking lot, the Tesla navigation just doesn’t quite get you there. The Supercharging parking is as close to the Sundial Bridge as you can get. There is a public restroom just past the Branch House Cafe at the bridge. It’s not open all night, but is open later than the other ones. Never tried to get into the Sheraton Hotel or Mosaic Restaurant to use their restrooms. There is another public park restroom just past the Supercharging parking on Sundial Bridge Drive, but that one be closed earlier than the others. This is the nicest location you could have for a Supercharging station. Get out of your car and walk. So why 4 stars? There are times you have to wait for a charger. I have seen one car waiting and as soon as they get a spot, another car shows up and is waiting. Not that bad all the time, but it happens. The other problem is if there is an event going on at the Civic Auditorium or rodeo grounds. Traffic, or traffic control by LEO can make it impossible to access the chargers. Cottonwood is your next best bet if you can’t get to the Redding chargers. I changed my review to 5 stars since 44 super chargers were added the Holiday Inn on Hilltop Drive. This should eliminate overcrowding and make event traffic not a factor, since you can go to Hilltop Drive.” — John Hinkle, 2 years ago
