“Beware - not worth the risk of using this charger as you are likely to receive one or more very expensive parking tickets, the City seems to be operating this charging station as a profitable parking ticket scheme. Signage is not clear at all that in addition to paying the EV charger (the meter/'pump' pictured on the signage directly in front of it), you must also separately pay for parking in these spaces in another location. This is counterintuitive (the EV chargers themselves charge you an hourly fee set by the city) and would not be obvious to anyone who has never parked in this lot before (i.e. most out of town visitors simply needing to charge their car). In addition, these are very slow chargers. I would recommend proceeding elsewhere to a supercharger rather than risk a ticket orders of magnitude larger.” — Scott Chessare, 2 years ago

“DO NOT BACK IN TO CHARGE, YOU WILL GET A TICKET!! BE SURE TO PAY TO PARK HERE. There is a pay station nearby that takes Quarters or credit card ($.40 extra fee). The ParkMobile app ($.60 extra fee) works good and provides reminders and lets to extend your parking time, if needed. The parking was expensive at about $2.50 for every half hour, charge was at 7KW, however it looked like it was $.16 KW. Both cars to our right and left got $30 tickets for NOT paying to the parking. During season May 1st to September 15th this is probably not worth using this charger as you can park way closer to the beach/boardwalk at $4 an hour.” — Drake Bliss, a year ago
