“I rarely write reviews, but I have to recommend that EV drivers AVOID Shell charging stations whenever physically possible. As an EV driver for over 5 years, I have consistently had the most expensive, most technical difficulties, most challenges reaching support staff, and overall worst experience using their app/stations than any other company to date. Their app locks you out immediately for 30 minutes with an incorrect password, none of the password reset links work (403/404 errors every time), their support service quotes 1-minute wait time but never beats 30-minutes (in my 3 experiences), and the callback function fully does not work and takes you out of que if you attempt it. I will be posting this on other Shell EV stations as a warning to others to save their time/effort/money, and hopefully to encourage Shell to reevaluate what they contribute as an EV charger provider. Even the support company they utilize for the stations has no accountability or management, so aside from Google reviews they have also made it impossible to bring forth issues. Which to me demonstrates a complete lack of faith in moving forward with improving their systems. This charger was functioning and available. Despite that, I encourage others to vote with their dollars towards companies that actually make an effort to provide infrastructure and utility through their services, or at the very least provide some degree of support to their customers.” — Tyson Bodor, 2 months ago

“After going through all the hoops of account creation, validation, and payment verification, everything appeared to be working but then showed a “payment error” when plugging in to charge. There were no alternative methods. This whole process was overly tedious. There is no reason why a charging transaction should be more complex or time-consuming than getting gas.
