“Conflicting issues here; good location, not enough chargers. Well used, but too many people have no etiquette or don't know charging etiquette exists. Basically, keep it to 30min if there's a line. (Limit your charge to 80%, and don't fully charge your empty 50kw vehicle at a high-traffic fast-charging-only station. “Update 8/29/23 - Hallelujah! When I was here last week technicians were installing some sort of new Tesla branded equipment. The chargers are all still the same connectors you’re used to but whatever they installed seems to have fixed their perennial speed issues. Last week I got a paltry 28 kW but today I topped out at 144 kW and have stayed above 110 throughout the session! Have not seen numbers like this for nearly a year at this station. Credit where credit is due. Will update star rating if this proves to be a trend. Update 7/5/23 - still the worst station in the area by far. Earlier today was maxing out at 28 kW, now getting a whopping 43. Haven’t seen above 80 in almost a year now. Usually at least 1 charger isn’t working. And never has Electrify America replied to a single email I’ve sent. Pathetic. Update 1/23/23 - in case you’re wondering if they’ve resolved these issues the answer is nope. For the past few weeks one charger (#4) has maxed out at ~75 kW and the others have a message on the screen saying they’re being limited and they max out at 35 or so. Today 2 of them had Windows screens up and couldn’t even be used. Adding photos of the 4 chargers today. Original post: For weeks 2-3 out of 4 chargers were broken. Now 3/4 are working but not delivering more than 35 kW of speed on any of them (normally they are more like 140 kW). You’d think the explosive growth in EV sales would be bringing them plenty of revenue (mainly from the deals they have with manufacturers) to be able to maintain their equipment but it’s only gotten worse and worse in the 6 months we’ve used the service. “This charging station is located in the parking lot of a Target shopping center. There are four stations, with one of them being a CCS and Chademo charger. This charging station has constant issues with either stations being down or limited in charging speed. For the past few months, it only had two working stations. Also, for the past four months the charging speeds were limited to only 50kw instead of the 150kw that it is rated at. Electrify America really needs to fix their issues with all their chargers. This is not the only station with issues. Practically all the neighboring charging stations in other cities have issues too. 🙄 12/02/23 update. 3 of the 4 chargers were full. The only open charger station number 4 had a black screen, but the app said it was working. Tried to connect the charger to my car but it would not initialize. Tried the other charging connector and it didn't work. Finally I saw the screen on the charger come in with a windows memory full error. I tapped the error message to continue and ignore and the main charger gone page came back up and I was able to charge my car. Mid way into charging the windows memory full error popped back up but I left it alone since my car was still charging. Submitted a problem report to EA to fix it. 11/03/24 update: best time to come charge us early in the morning or around lunch time. This station somehow always has at least one or two charging stalks that aren't working. The nearby Hilltop charging station and a few miles away recently upgraded to 350kw chargers.
