“First time trying Electrify America with my Tesla—and definitely my last! What a frustrating and unreliable experience. I pulled up, downloaded the app to get started, and it pushed me toward a monthly subscription plan (Pass+). Turns out you can actually pay as a guest by swiping or tapping a credit/debit card right at the charger (they have both an NFC reader and a separate contactless card reader—super patchwork setup), but I couldn't get it to work without issues. No simple "pay more per kWh and go" option without jumping through hoops. Even worse: the pricing is already ~10¢/kWh higher than Tesla Superchargers, yet it felt like they were forcing a plan to access the "surcharge." Why not just let me pay a bit extra per session with my card? It shouldn't be this complicated. Connection was another headache—the car didn't handshake right away. I had to plug and unplug multiple times before it finally recognized the vehicle. Reliability was abysmal. I decided to leave. Do yourself a favor: Skip this one and drive a few extra miles to the ViaLynk charger in West Fulton—it's slower but way more reliable, cheaper (~30¢/kWh), and hassle-free. Tesla owners are spoiled by seamless Supercharging. This visit really highlighted how much easier we have it compared to what other EV drivers deal with daily.
