“One of the better Tesla Supercharger locations I’ve used around the Chicago area. There are plenty of chargers here, split between 150 kW and 250 kW stalls, and I’ve generally found an open spot without having to wait. A nice thing about this location is that the 150 kW chargers shouldn’t necessarily be overlooked just because the other side is rated at 250 kW. In real-world charging, your actual speed depends on several factors, including battery temperature and state of charge, so the difference may not always be as significant as the numbers suggest. Both sides are priced the same, at $0.40 kWh when I’ve visited. Pricing here also tends to be very competitive compared with other Superchargers around the area, which makes this a particularly good stop. Another big advantage is the location. The chargers are in the Meijer parking lot, so you can plug in and walk over to the store for groceries, snacks, restrooms, or just to pass some time while charging. The parking lot is spacious and very well lit at night, which is a plus for late-night charging. Drivers here also seem pretty considerate about charging and leaving rather than occupying a stall unnecessarily.” — Your Global Local Guy, a month ago

“Overall, there's always been an open spot. There are two sides, one that is the higher 250kwh, which is the same price as the other side, the 150kwh. However, there has been testing done (check YouTube) where both charge at almost the exact same speed, so don't avoid the 150kwh side just because you think it's going to charge faster on the 250kwh. In terms of price & how fast it charges, both sides are almost equal. This charging station also seems to have some of the lowest prices whether off-peak or not, compared to the closest charging stations within a 30 minute drive. Most people here also are courteous & will charge + go, so they typically don't idle or take up a spot even though their car is charged. This can be an issue at other charging stations especially as you get closer to downtown Chicago & in the city in general. This one is also nice due to being in the parking lot of Meijer, which stays open daily until 12 midnight. I typically will plug in & go shopping for 45 minutes, keeping an eye on the app. Usually it's perfect timing to grab some groceries & come back out to a fully charged Tesla.
