What drivers have written

“Anyone who has read another of my charger reviews knows I’m a dedicated Ionna fanboy, but I think today one of the unsung heroes of the charger landscape deserves some love. Yes, I’m talking about Electrify America. They don’t have the retro-futurist charm of Ionna, but their speeds are top notch, the units are usually working, and most importantly, they don’t require a god forsaken app to pay. Electrify America is also the only brand of charger that supports Plug and Charge on my Volkswagen, which I love. Other than aesthetics, the only real difference between the two brands is location. Ionna bet that people would want to charge where they eat, EA bet they’d want to charge where they shop. Normally, this means you find them in Walmart parking lots, but this one is in a shopping mall parking garage. And not one of those decrepit, half-empty remnants of the past you find in so many cities, waiting to be used as a set in a post apocalyptic zombie movie before being torn down to make way for a new mall that is basically the same but without a roof. No, this is an honest-to-god, old school shopping mall in apparently good health. Every store front is populated with stores selling your favorite name brand merchandise. There’s a whole store selling only Crocs. Who could have imagined? The possibilities are endless. Well, not so endless. You really won’t have time to enjoy this blast from the past, because the blazing fast speeds on the Electrify America charger will have you topped up before the Orange Julius machine splutters out the last bit of slush into your cup. But you can drive away easy knowing that there’s a place where the past and present can coexist. Paul Blart’s Segue may have graduated into a Cybertruck, but he’s still keeping us safe while we charge, shop, and live in that grand community called humanity. Also parking is free if you stay less than an hour.” — Mike Olson, 2 months ago

“I recently visited this charging station and had a frustrating experience. There were six charging spots, but Teslas were parked without being plugged in. The sign clearly states "No parking except while charging," yet these cars were blocking the spots. I ended up having to wait for 30 minutes to get a spot, even though online showed there were supposed to be four available. It's disappointing that the rules aren't being enforced, and it created unnecessary delays for those actually trying to charge. Hopefully, this gets addressed to improve the experience for others.” — Abubakar siddique Mohammed, a year ago

“You can't miss these chargers. The bright green EA lights are on the right as you pull into the ground floor entrance of the multistory parking garage. Stalls are straight so it's easy to back in for EVs with rear charge ports. The mall closes at 8PM so be aware of that.” — Jeff Myrom, 3 years ago
