“This charger has two things going for it: It’s very centrally-located, and when it works it’s fast. Unfortunately, everything else is terrible. - It’s always full, usually with multiple vehicles lined up. The status in the app never seems to be accurate. - One or more of the chargers is pretty much always broken. Sometimes it says “Under Maintenance,” and sometimes it just doesn’t work when you try to use it. Either way, this is never reflected in the app. - There are 7 chargers, which seems like a reasonable number, but only 4 of them can actually be used simultaneously. - It’s a tiny, high-demand parking lot and gas cars frequently use charging spots. No one seems to enforce anything in regards to this. - this technically applies to all Electrify America chargers, but anyone can come by and stop charging at any time using the touch screen. My car locks the plug in place so at least they can’t plug it into their own vehicle, but it doesn’t stop them from trying and stopping my charge. The best part of this is not only does it halt charging, but Electrify America charges you an idle fee if you have it plugged it but not charging, so once someone messes with your charger, you’ve got to rush back to reset it or you incur a fine.
