“We take walks at Santee State Park on our drive from NY to FL once or twice a year. Last time we were at the park they had an old Siemens J1772 charger that didn’t have any display. The Siemens charger is still there. I didn’t check to see if it still works. The two Rivian chargers are new and have a nice display. It’s a J1772 port with 7.7kW and is Free to use. There is a $3 per person fee for using the park which is paid at a few payment stands by putting the fee into an envelope and attaching a tag to your rearview mirror. We took a 3.5 mile walk on the trails as we charged. We added 9.1kW in 1 hour 13 minutes. There is still one older charger but I didn’t plug in to check if it’s still working. We stay in the Santee Fairfield Inn so the park is a short drive from the hotel.” — Bill, 4 months ago
