“Saugerties features several ChargePoint chargers throughout the town. Though I have attempted to add them to Google Maps, not all are listed. While I have only plugged in here a handful of times, it recently returned to service after being non-functional for a while. The primary drawback is the screen: the plastic covering is heavily cracked, rendering it unreadable and in need of replacement. I appreciate ChargePoint equipment overall, but the plastic components do not hold up well against general wear, tear, and abuse. Fortunately, this was not an issue for us because our Equinox utilizes GM Energy Pass, allowing us to manage charging directly from the vehicle. Alternatively, the ChargePoint smartphone app lets you operate the charger without relying on its display. I appreciate Saugerties providing these stations. Certain neighboring municipalities have enacted bans on new charging infrastructure, while Catskill at Dutchman's Landing Park charges an exorbitant rate of $1.00 per kWh. I hope Saugerties keeps expanding its network and maintaining existing units.” — Bill, a week ago
