“I refuse to purchase electric vehicles with one reason I rarely see charging stations. I never have any problems finding gas stations. I had to pull off the Freeway 99 between Fresno and Visalia and turned into a parking lot to turn around, and all these charging stations were right there. I admit I wasn't looking for them, but I do make a point to see signs, especially on the freeway for them. I didn't even see anything showing they were in this parking lot behind a building. It would be nice to see more signs letting people like me realize that if I did want an electric vehicle, I'd have enough access to chargers without the current restrictions. My sister got one of the Hybrid vehicles and twice had enough gas with first time had to leave her car running with the AC on in the summer for her adult son to stay in the car while she went into a store and came out to her car had died. She still had gas but ran out of charge Her car wouldn't charge with a good Samaritan trying to help her jump it. The wait in 100-degree weather is awful! When the tow truck gentleman got there, he knew her problem and had to leave the cables on long enough to give her car a charge before it would start. The second time similar situation. I bought her a portable charger so she wouldn't be stuck again, but she soon after turned it in and got a full gas only truck. The summer here in Tulare County, California, gets way too hot, and it's a common practice to leave your vehicle running with the AC on to go into somewhere even if no one is in there! For me, I also do for my dogs, weather permitting, but warmer than I am comfortable with leaving even for less than 5 minutes. A gas only vehicle is a must!” — Donna Adams, a year ago

“I don’t understand why EV stations are mixed into conventional parking areas. Even worse, placing some charging units at the end of the stall and others midway between. It gets confusing having to pull in or back in depending on where your vehicle’s charging port is located. The cables aren’t long enough to park any way you choose.” — Angel H, a year ago
