“One thing that's unfortunate about this location is it has a view of Jack in the Box but at least when I was there, it was drive thru only which meant if the kids are hungry, you can't really kill any time walking over there to get food etc. Either stop there first or not at all. “⚠️TOW WARNING⚠️ The Tesla Supercharger at Tacoma Mall Blvd (#5219) is convenient but has serious design flaws. The poor parking layout creates a chaotic, free-for-all situation where drivers often resort to using chargers backwards, leading to confusion and inefficiency. What’s more concerning is the towing situation. Lakewood Towing frequently monitors the area, and we witnessed a Tesla being towed. Be extremely cautious not to leave your car unattended after charging is complete. The posted towing sign states that unauthorized or improperly parked vehicles will be towed, but it doesn’t clarify what counts as “improper parking.” This vague language makes it even more stressful to charge here. I’m attaching a photo of the towing sign and a Tesla being towed for reference. While the chargers themselves work fine, the lack of organization and the towing risk make this location less appealing compared to other Supercharger stations.” — D. Marie, a year ago
