“I believe this is the best place to charge your EV in town. When I was here yesterday, access was restricted due to road construction, but they kept a space open to enter the charging facility from the main plaza road side. I went early in the morning, and it was free with no wait time. I was able to charge my car from 60% to 98% in an hour and a half. “Looks like this is one of maybe two in town that has 50 KW charge. There's supposed to be four charging cables but three of them are cut and only one is available. Luckily the one that is available is the 50 KW charger. It's about 4 mi per minute/240 miles per hour. That's not the fastest, but this is waaaay better than the 7 KW that we've been stumbling upon on the way to New Mexico from Colorado. I do love that this is right in the center of Taos and there are tons of cute little shops around. “January 1, 2025. Super easy and steps away from Plaza. Used a 50kW charger on our 2023 Chevy Bolt EV. For our needs, it was perfect: we arrived at 67% and we're charging to 100% which took about 1 hour so we went over to Manzanita Market (absolutely incredible lunch!) and wandered around all the many shops while we charged.
