“A beautiful charging spot, near to a casino. A little hidden from highway, but Tesla map took me correctly to the spot. “This was the third of six SC stops 445 mi. in on a 1000 mi., 17-hour westward trip. This SC is located right off the exit in the parking lot of Ameristar Casino, overlooking the Mississippi River. You get a great view of the river sbd the bridge. There is a visitor center at the exit and a Waffle House on the other side of the freeway. The casino has some food options inside, a friendly greeter, as well as clean bathrooms. Note: must be 21 to enter so no kids allowed. There are 12 stalls providing up to 250kw L3 DC fast charging, and at least one spot that can accommodate a trailer in tow. There is plenty of room in the lot to unhook your trailer also if needed. Only 1 of the 12 stalls were occupied when I arrived. Charging was quick, transferring at a full 250kw for the first few minutes before tapering off to 95kw as I approached 70kw SOC on my MYLR. This isn’t a bad charging spot, though there are no food options in walking distance besides what’s offered in the casino.
