“Updated Review - 12/26/23: We were in Milwaukee and needed a charge. I like to use Electrify America Charging Stations because I have a VW ID.4 and I get three years of free charging. But, every time I come to this location I have to try at least three chargers before I can find one that works. When I first got there, one person was charging their car. By the time I left, there were people waiting. Two of the charging stations said “Unavailable”…. And the scanner was not working so I had to use the app. I called the 800 number and finally hung up because I was on hold for 10 minutes. Luckily the charger started. Not a good experience… and there were other people upset too. —————————————————————————- Updated Review - 12/10/22: I had a small issue to begin with. The first charger I plugged into my 2021 VW AWD ID.4 Pro S did not work. Some strange error came up. In hindsight, I should have taken a pic of it. So I moved to another station and it worked perfectly. No issues. And it was fast. When I got there I was the only car. When I left there was a BMW iX SUV, a new Volvo XC40 Recharge, and a Ford Mustang Mach-E. Pretty popular spot. ————————————————————————— My VW AWD ID.4 Pro S being charged at the EV Connect Charging Station. Original Review: Worked perfect. No problems. Well lit. I felt safe at night while I was charging. In the Walmart parking lot…. so the restrooms are convenient. I will definitely go back the next time I need a charge in Milwaukee.” — Steve Reeves, 2 years ago
“I'm new to EV cars and charging. I stopped to get a much needed charge for my new Mini Coop EV. Could not get this station to work with the external card reader. Luckily another EA patron saw my distress and helped me out. Advised that I don't use the external card readers, because they are notorious for not working. Created an online account and loaded $60. After that it worked fine. Ended up costing about $0.50/KW. Sounds on the high side, but then what are you going to do when you are out of reasonable options.” — Scott W, 2 years ago
“10 chargers at Walmart parking lot. Approx 6x 150kw and 2x (or 4?) 350kw. We were there at 9am on Tuesday morning, it's quite busy but we didn't have to wait. The first CCS we pulled up to was "not available". The second one was on "idle" as if the previous user left without logging out of the session. We called the 800 number on the machine and they were able to restart the machine remotely. We don't have an account with Electrify America, but were able to use the service with just our credit card. Took a little longer to get started but we were happy with the outcome.” — Jennifer Zhang, a year ago
