“Dear Bc Hyrdo I recently visited Whistler, which is such a popular destination, and I was very disappointed with the EV charging situation. The wait time to charge was extremely long because there was only one charging station available in such a busy area. The government is encouraging people to switch to electric vehicles, but the infrastructure is clearly not keeping up with demand. Popular tourist destinations like Whistler should have at least 8–10 charging points, similar to areas like Surrey and Langley. Long wait times make traveling stressful and inconvenient for EV owners. If charging infrastructure doesn’t improve, many people may start reconsidering and go back to buying gas cars instead.
