“This EV charging station is tucked into the heart of Wilkesboro's Cub Creek Park, offering a potentially convenient spot to top off your battery while enjoying the outdoors. The setup includes four charging connections - two CCS fast chargers rated at 350 kW and two CHAdeMO units at 100 kW. Dedicated parking spaces are clearly marked, making it easy to pull in and plug up without competing with regular park traffic. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get either charger to function during my visit, so I can't speak to the pricing or charging speed firsthand. It's a bit of a letdown, especially given the high-capacity specs. Still, if you do manage to get a successful charge, you're in for a treat. Cub Creek Park is one of Wilkesboro's gems, with shaded walking trails, covered picnic shelters, a fenced dog park, and even trout fishing along the creek.
