“First time using Circle K chargers. I had the app already downloaded with an account setup and payment entered so it was really just as easy as opening the app, selecting the charger and handle, and swiping to start after plugging in. Took about 15 – 20 seconds to complete the handshake and start pulling in some juice. The units are rated for 180kwh but my Niro can only pull around 75 which posed no issue. Location is right off the highway and while the gas portion of the station was pretty busy I was the only one charging for the 40 minutes I was there on a late Sunday afternoon. Large Circle K convenience store with all the typical travel food and beverages on offer. Rates were decent for a DC fast charger – about 15 cents then then Flying J / Pilot EVgo setup on the other side of the same exit. Overall, it was a very positive experience. Side note PSA, while I am fairly new to EVs I did spend about an hour getting about half a dozen charging provider apps downloaded and setup with an account / payment method before my first trip. So far, I have had no issues across several providers (Electrify America, EVgo, Shell Recharge, ChargePoint, Florida Power & Light, and Circle K) and while I just may have been lucky, I think having the app ready to go and not relying on an ad-hoc session with CC swipe has made the experience easier overall. While getting an EV charge session should be as easy as buying gas, we are not there yet, and I suspect it will be another year or two before there is real convergence on session authorization and payment. Until then, better to be prepared then struggle to download an app where cell service could be suspect.” — Lee Murray, 2 years ago

“Nice chargers & attached station. I appreciated that you don't have to use their app, can just scan your card and charge. Restrooms are clean and well stocked, and the station has a great coffee bar going on, decent snacks and all that. Staff were very friendly.
