“Unnecessarily difficult to start charging. You have to download the app and make an account. Most chargers now let you begin with a credit card. App also asks to scan a QR code, which there isn't one. You have to enter the number under the charger handles. Decent speeds once I got it started- 185-225 kW.” — Charles Morgan, 2 months ago

“Multiple chargers are physically damaged, one in particular caused an electrical spike that caused my car to turn off and disconnect luckily not causing any damage that I know of. All of that to say that the only 2 working satations out of 6 will NOT charge more then 36kw even being the only person here! Not to mention at night there is zero lighting because the street lights are akso broken. Also the app has no way of reporting damaged or dangerous equipment which is unlike every other brand of charger I've used. Not to mention they are charging you New England fast charge rates despite have electricity costs that are over half the cost of New England. “FPL have made the process a little easier since I last visited Florida. My default payment default was already set up before going to the charger. When I got there I had to select the location on a map the FPL app, and then type in the charger id number. That triggered an automated multi bullet point progress list. I connected the charger to the car when the app got to the last bullet point. Things went smoothly from there. The charger claimed a much higher power capability than the 55 kW my car can handle. Though I am not certain, I don't think the outlet got above 45 kW. It decreased from there as the battery approached 80% of capacity, presumably in the service of battery life. There is room for improvement though. The association between charger, vehicle, and owner of payment credit card could all be established with cameras near the charger. Then it would be sufficient for the owner of vehicle & card to connect the charger to the vehicle. No need for interaction with an app.” — michael ibison, 8 months ago
