“Some chargers are not working, yet revel hold your $50 even if you didn’t charge, as of my first week dealing with an electric vehicle, I also have to deal with revel’s extra headache, they’re holding $350 in one week. Common bro, how long it takes to figure out the exact charge, and charge the card. You’ll not last long if you keep doing this shady business, the same with your revel car service. For now you’re getting business, but once the competition gets here, you’ll be out of business. Release my money, if I want to save money, I would’ve got a piggy bank. I hate saving the planet, I can’t wait to get back on an environment polluting car. Can I give zero star?” — تونسي في نيويورك, 10 months ago
“We came one Saturday afternoon in November 2025 and it was great—tons of chargers and no wait. We were excited to find a hidden gem in the boroughs! The next two times were brutal, and we have decided we’ll never come back. 🙅🏻♀️ 👇 Bottom line: it’s not worth it for Teslas, unless there is no line to enter or if you have no other choice. Maybe we’ll have better luck when winter is over. 🫤 The ok/maybe sort of good/neutral: ➖ The location and number of charging stations are good, but 7 out of 25 are out of service as of 2/1/26. ➖ At $0.54/kWh, it’s more expensive than Tesla superchargers. ➖ Charge rate ranged from 60-73kW to start, then dropped to 50s at 70%/until I stopped paying attention ⚡️ it took 45 mins to get from 20% to 80%. ➖ Most EVs we saw are not Tesla. One time, there was an NYPD-licensed Tesla here when we arrived (I didn’t know those existed!) ➖ Lots of blind spots, so if you see an open station, please be a good neighbor and help out the next person in the line. 🤝 🫣 The bad/ugly: ➖ The lines were BROOTAL (yes, with two o’s and in caps; 10-15 cars ahead of us the last two times), and we waited nearly an hour to get into the lot. There is no way to tell how bad it is until you arrive. We lost 3-4% waiting. ➖ They charge Waymos here, and they can cut the line. 🥲 this will increase your wait. ➖ While the lot entrance/exit is technically wide enough for 2 cars, Marcy Avenue is a 2-lane road with one lane blocked by the line of waiting EVs, and it can be difficult to maneuver out. Snow/ice piles made it worse, though you can’t control that. ➖ Also echoing others’ comments about there being no bathroom or any other infrastructure to pass the time nearby.” — Diana Lin, 7 months ago
“Really nice to have this 25 charging station location in NYC. It is about a 10 to 15 minute drive from the BQE highway exit depending on traffic so you have to go a bit out of your way to get to the location. As of this review, all 25 chargers work with ccs1, 23 work with tesla, and 2 work with chademo. You could pay with credit card, or tap with the revel app if you put in payment info within the app. Just be aware that that I was told by a Revel tesla taxi driver that sometimes the payment might not work at a station from time to time. This happened to me on my first visit. I could not get my payment to work. The driver suggested I try a different stall and that solved the problem. So if you have trouble paying to get the chargers started, try try again. As of this review, the price of the charge is priced at 39 cents a kwh plus tax. Some of the chargers says 75 kwh max but my tesla only got just below 50 max and at times dip to the high 30s. I read that is common. Not sure if that is limited to tesla or most evs here. I am really glad this place exists. Nyc really need more places like this to make evs work. Hope this survives and that they would expand to other locations in NYC. I had to take out a star though because it would be nice to have a restroom for those long charge times if needed.” — Wing L, 4 years ago
