“Oh boy, what a long, messy line of EVs waiting! Some drivers, including me, didn't know where the end of the line was because the cars completely circled the occupied 20 chargers. We had driven from Sacramento, and this was our second charging stop as we prepared for our long weekend road trip to Orange County. Being a Saturday afternoon, the Electrify America station and surrounding parking areas were packed with mall shoppers and EVs. A couple of people tried to cut in front of us, but one gentleman helped me keep my place. Minutes later, I helped a BMW i4 driver keep his turn from another driver trying to take the pump from the opposite side of the stall. We waited about an hour for our turn (my wife and I took turns going inside the adjacent mall while waiting). Our VinFast VF9 connected easily to one of the 10 CCS 350kW chargers, and the input power peaked at 167kW. The location is ideal because it's next to the 405 Freeway and in a Westfield Culver City Mall, allowing you to charge and park while shopping or dining.” — Nam Nguyen, a year ago
