“On 6/15 I went to charge my electric vehicle as I have in the past and usually paid 11-15 dollars a charge for a 4-6 hour charge. On this particular date I was charged 108 dollars. I contacted ChargePoint who agreed this was an excessive charge but said the owners set the rates, they explained that it’s one charge of .52 cents I believe for the first 3 hours and 15 dollars a hour after that which was never disclosed to me as I used my evgo app. ChargePoint said they can’t issue a credit because I didn’t use their app but gave me a case number to call evgo with since they have to issue the credit. I called evgo and opened a case and they basically said nothing they can do because it’s a 15 dollar fee after 3 hours. I’m not one of these people to post reviews just because I have all this time on my hands, this is to make consumers and other EV drivers that this place is ripping people off. Yes the consumer is responsible for doing there own Dudilligencne, but I literally used this charger the week before, I drop if off around 10 and it was done around 4 and was charged 11.62. So who was responsible for letting the consumer know of this drastic change. I use to use this station strictly out of convenience not necessity because there’s another charger a quarter mile from this one and 7 dealerships near me. I’m fully aware of a sitting charge after the car is done there’s a fee but my car was charging the whole time and picked up immediately when it was done. I can’t speak for charge point but the app I used didn’t notify me at all so beware of this station they are taking advantage of people not paying attention. 108 dollars for a charge is inexcusable, I can gas any of my cars twice for that amount.
