“Fpl evolution is horrible. Avoid at all cost. This ia the 3rd time I have visited here. The first time I could not find a charger that worked. Second time I could not get it to run even with customer service on the line. This time a few were not working. I finally found one and connected my car. It was charging at 100kwh and not what they advertise at 350. But as soon as someone plugged in at another charger next to me, my charge would drop to inder 50kwh. I was there for over an hour to charge about 45 when. At the end I was charges for 52kwh. I had customer service and Fpl manger on the phone the whole time and the only thing they said they can do is to escalade this and have someone reach out to me in 2 business days. I hope the turnpike authority removes fpl evolution junk boxes soon with something that actually works and ia reliable and does not over charge.” — Amir Massoumi, 2 months ago

“This is a large EV charging area with both Tesla and CCS chargers. We charged at the CCS chargers which are Florida Power and Light chargers. Google Maps says 3 plugs but there are 6 CCS chargers which are both 350kW CCS and CHAdeMO. You need the FPL app to use these chargers. Once you have the FPL app set up, just scan the QR code. Easy. While the charging worked great the screen on the charger is small and very reflective making it almost impossible to read so just use the app or your car display. FPL has the lowest charging prices of any chargers we have used. I’m not sure if all are the same price but this one was $0.30 per kW. This makes charging on the road the same or cheaper than gas. I hope FPL keeps rolling out more chargers. We just got one in Delray near where we stay in the winter. That makes owning an EV cheaper than an ICE car. One problem is that they need a queue line. Often there was 1 to 3 Tesla’s waiting at the entrance which blocked the entrance for none Tesla’s. There wasn’t an easy place for a second (none Tesla) queue. It wasn’t a problem while we were there. One Hyundai Ioniq pulled into a parking spot and waited for a CCS car to pull out. This would be a problem if a few cars were waiting. No way to know who came in which order. This is an issue at many charging stations.” — Bill, a year ago

“Directions to the Chargers is inaccurate. It says they are located in the front parking area which is a bus stop and it is a closed entrance and exit so you can't get to the Chargers from that parking lot. You have loop around the median and u turn to go down this back road behind the Home Depot turn in a side street and then immediately turn into the big parking lot that you can get into which is behind the area that it says the Chargers are at. The Chargers are great no problems haven't seen a trash can or anything here no facilities other than the Wendy's within walking distance.” — Ryan Carrington, 3 months ago
